Welcome to Venice

The Locanda is located in the beating heart of Venice, halfway between Rialto's bridge and San Marco's square, in the ancient street of Mercerie; just 3 minutes from the Rialto pier and 7 from the San Marco one. It is located in a building of 15th century and is spread over 5 floors (without elevator) with entrance to the ground floor, and hosts two structures both with 6 bedrooms (of large size) divided between triple and quadruple doubles and a breakfast room on the first floor.

The Locanda ai Bareteri occupies the first and second floors and the Allegri Lodgings on the third and fourth floors.

The structure is elegant but at the same time informal, a meeting place for many artists who find in our guest house a reserved accommodation - despite being in the center - where to stay during their travels in the lagoon.


The rooms are equipped with private bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioning and only a few mini bars.

 A gem in the heart of Venice! - 12 feb 2023

Waking up and having a 2 minute walk to either Rialto bridge or San Marco Square was only part of the pleasure staying at the property. Luca was kindest and most helpful host we’ve ever met and he made sure we feel at home! The room was clean, warm and cozy. We didn’t try the breakfast but the romantic welcome option treated us to a wonderful bottle of wine.

The Allegri/Bareteri B&B is a great location, right between Rialto and San Marco, but on a tiny alley that means quiet and calm away from the tourist stampede. The room was perfectly clean, well-equipped and spacious -- and the bathroom had a door! A prize in today's hotelry. Venice is a city to walk and walk, visual treasures around every bend, and this hotel was a great place to come back to. Luca was very helpful and kind as well!

The location was amazing for everything we wanted to do . The staff was great and the breakfast was wonderful as well. Bareteri was recommended by good friends who had stayed there and we are so grateful for the recommendation because it just made our stay all the better . Didn’t have to search. Absolutely fantastic hotel full of old time charm with maritime touch. Beautiful spacious rooms, lovely terrace with fantastic club house, where test wine take by yourself.
Had a great time Service was friendly, breakfasts were good.
